‘Winter Walk’

This is a painting of one of my recent walks on the bike path heading west from Granville. It is a big 24″ X 48″ acrylic on 1.5″ gallery wrapped canvas.

I love walking in any season but in the winter I especially love those bright sunny days. This particular day was truly magnificent! I couldn’t believe the wonderful juxtaposition of colors of the bright blue sky, the white snow and the unexpected pop of yellow/pale green leaves left on the bushes. I was happy just to be out in the sunshine and had no intention of pulling my phone out to snap a reference photo but this scene stunned me so much I had to stop and capture the moment.
